Pair the Shimano Spirex reel with a 100% IM7 graphite Tourney Trail rod for a powerful combo. The lightweight Spirex has a slimmed-down aluminum frame for superior strength and great castability. The smooth double-paddle handle makes for quick retrieves, and the Fluidrive II gearing offers extra smoothness and increased sensitivity. The Power Roller reduces line twist from repeated casts and retrieves, while the DynaBalance rotor eliminates any spinning wobble by counter-balancing the rotor for smooth rotation. The reel boasts the Quick Fire II bail for fast and easy one-handed casts. A-RB (Anti-Rust Bearings) are made of stainless steel that has been fortified with the A-RB process, making them at least 10 times more corrosion-resistant than standard stainless steel ball bearings. The easy maintenance-shielded bearing design allows for easy flushing of debris and lighter viscosity lubrication to reduce friction and allow the bearing to spin faster and smoother. Our Tourney Trail series rods are one of Cabela's best sellers. We've completely redesigned them to give customers a more sensitive-feeling rod for their money. We introduced small, yet strong, aluminum-oxide guides that are perfectly sized and wrapped to the new steel-blue blank in a seamless bond. Heavy-duty graphite reel seats with padded hoods to secure your reel. A screw-down locking fore grip was added to eliminate exposed threads when the reel is snugged. We also added higher-quality cork handles to make casting more comfortable. All Tourney Trail rods are built around IM7 100% graphite blanks that have fast tip-sensitive actions.
